I'm not sure whether the sheer volume of breathtakingly good photography to be found on Flickr is inspiring or completely daunting. I have lots to learn! (But then that's the whole point)

My first decent camera was a Praktica MTL5 when I was about 12. The best part of three decades on, I'm not sure if I've improved very much but digital at least lets you chance upon the odd good shot that gives you a clue as to what works.

However, I've recently rediscovered film having bought a Yashicamat 124G, quickly followed by a Zorki-4 and an Agfa Isolette, then a Voigtlander Vito B, a Vito II, a Yashica Electro 35 and a 1928 No2 Box Brownie (Ebay has much to answer for...). As a result the snap rate has gone down quite a bit, but I think I'm spending more time thinking about what I want to achieve in each shot. We'll see if it helps....

Other than the cameras mentioned above, my current kit is Canon Eos 760D and Canon Powershot G16 (which is much easier to fit in the pocket).

In the event that you would like to see some of my photos in the real world (remember paper?), I now have a couple of books available on Blurb with the best of some of my older pictures and the odd comment or two. (Also available as an eBook) (Link to all of Callum's books at Blurb)
