I am new to photography and I have a lot to learn. I am learning mostly on my own and by looking at other people's work on flickr. This stuff is far more complicated than it looks but when you get that great shot it is a wonderful feeling. Hopefully with time, practice, patience and some help from the flickr community I will steadily get less bad at this.

The more I dabble in this the more I have grown to like/love taking portraits. My likes have gone from macro/flowers, to animals to landscapes (I am terrible at this) but there is something about the portrait that draws me. I ordered my first flash unit and can't wait to give it a go. Maybe I am compensating for my lack of talent with equipment or maybe I am getting the tools I need to get better at this. I think the former is the more likely response but only time will tell.

Sometimes, due to time constraints of my real job I take a while to respond to feedback or to upload new pics. Please know that I appreciate all feedback and will respond eventually. Both English and Spanish work equally well for me. Thanks for visiting......
