Caiti is one the first contacts I added on flickr. She is my inspiration. Since I've seen what she can do just taking photos of simple things, that always make me feel something, I felt in love with her pictures. At the very beginning, when I didn't know what would have been my style, I tried lots of things. Then, looking at Caiti's pictures I understood that I wanted to make people feel something through my photos. I wanted to share my feelings, I wanted to take photos of REAL life. I owe so much to Caiti. I am happy to say that she changed my way to see photography. And she has helped me to become what I am right now. So Caiti, thank you. aw I have been following Caiti for over one year as far as I can remember. her 365 project left me speechless mostly because I always wanted to do one but never could.. and she did it perfectly. there was no day she didn't impress me either with film or digital. she handles them both gloriously. on the other hand, after she finished her 365 project she kept uploading incredible shots and the thing that i love the most about her stream is that she NEVER over processes her photo. NEVER ever. everything looks natural and genuine which is quite a big thing in my oppinion. portraits, still life or even landscapes.. you can find them all in Caiti's stream. March 21, 2010 I remember when I first found Caiti on flickr. I was looking at imfreelykeely's photos, when I saw she won a print giveaway. I clicked on that photo, and wow, 59 other people won too! Who could be such a generous person to give out 60 free prints? With that, I never went a day without looking at Caiti Anne's photostream. Every picture Caiti posts, she puts a bit of her soul into, to make us feel what she feels, whether it be happy or sad. She isn't one of those photographers, with just a picture of a flower and maybe the sunset. Caiti's photos leave me breathless. Caiti is real. Caiti is inspiring. It has been a pleasure seeing how much you have improved in one year, thank you, Caiti. Updateeeee: Okay, I'd like to add stuff on here, just because. I have absolutely no idea how I've gone this long without writing you a testimonial, but somehow, I have. And I'm terrible at writing these, so you'll have to forgive me in advance, but here goes. Caiti, you honestly have one of those bodies of work that makes me want to write something really deep and lovely and touching about every single photo, because they make me feel so much, but I don't know how to properly express it, so I end up just hitting the favourite button to avoid having to say anything, or typing out something like "aldkfjadslfjwljafl;wkfj sdfj wow oh my goodness geeze wow you're amazing." Your darkroom work is so personal and intimate, and I can't wait to see tons more of it from you. I always think that you can't possibly improve anymore, and every day, you do. I had only just recently joined flickr when I had a sudden bout of insomnia that left me clicking through pages and pages of photos on the site at three in the morning. I hadn't found anything too striking, other than the ubiquitous landscape shots (which I nevertheless enjoyed!), but I hadn't found anything truly inspiring, anything that took my breath away. And somehow, I clicked a link, and found myself on Caiti's photostream, and everything changed. I was enthralled. I carefully went through every photo, read every description. These pictures were unlike anything I had ever seen before. They moved me. There were some that made my breath catch in my throat. They were beautiful, sometimes raw and almost painful, often melancholy, with punctuations of bright happiness in between (which never fail to put a smile on my own face). But most of all, they were honest. I stayed up until the birds were singing, going through pages and pages of consistently amazing pictures. I was hooked, and have been faithfully following Caiti's photostream ever since. Caiti, from what I can deduce by what you let us see, you are strong- so very strong, kind, beautiful, and outrageously talented. I feel honored that I have been able to know you exist, and even see a slice of the story that is your life. I hope your life continues to bring you amazing experiences, and I hope you take a picture of every one =)

I've been wanting to write this testimonial since I first stumbled upon Caiti's photostream, way back when I was still learning my way around Flickr. But now that I'm actually writing this, I don't know where to start. So I've been spending the past 20-ish minutes right now going through her photostream (for the millionth time, but shhh), and I realize that it's just really hard to put into words what Caiti achieves through her photography. I could write an essay on the technical aspects of her photos--how she blends together focus, light, and tones (she seriously has the best tones EVER) in a perfect harmony, but her photos are more than just that. All of her photos evoke such strong emotion. Whether it be a beautiful nature photo, or a stunning self-portrait, there is always a mood, an atmosphere, an intensity behind the photo that always leaves me in awe. And she does this consistently, making it look effortless, even though it's really not at all easy to do what she does. Whereas some people try to force emotion and depth into their photos, Caiti captures the emotion, and in perfect clarity. She doesn't just take random photos; her photos make you feel, and really, that is what photography is all about. Caiti, you are one of my favorite Flickr photographers, and a great inspiration for me. It's so hard to describe your photography, because it is just amazing and indescribable. I've been needing to edit this testimonial-- I found Caiti's stream when she was on day 38 of her 365. I was pretty much blown away then, but she just kept getting better and better. There is something so touchingly tender and delicate about every single one of her uploads... and I always feel as if I've gotten a glimpse into her soul after visiting her stream. She is lovely in a different way than anyone else... because not only is she beautiful to see, her heart is beautiful too. I anxiously await seeing what she will present to us in the future.
