I have recently (May 2018) retired from teaching public school music, and now I am free to enjoy all my hobbies like photography, singing, reading, learning Spanish, live music, and computer pursuits. I live in Shreveport, Louisiana with my lovely roommate from the Yucatan, Sandra, and enjoy spending time with my best friend, Glynis, and my sons, James and Jeremy. I am originally from Port Lavaca, Texas and graduated from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) with a degree in Music Education (Voice/piano). I sing with the Shreveport Bossier Community Chorale. I love to travel, and hope to do more of that, especially to Canada to see my grandson, Tyler. I particularly love to photograph flowers and plants, and I hope to get back into gardening again. I also enjoy modifying some of my photos with apps to create "art".
