I am Cadel Favreaux

I believe that what ignites us, and what restricts us are our only important connections to each other, our human communality far outweighs the variables therein. If we squander the inkling we have, if our perspective is anything but the truth of our lives being just a moon in aeons of galactic expansion, than our impact with be equal in value. Blood is in no way thicker than water, and friendship is a sacred bond earned and easily severed. Bigotry is a cancer on society, and xenophobia should be treated as mental disease. In the end, life is completely about balance and the understanding that longevity is congruent to elation.

As photographers we exude fundamental existentialism, the struggle against inevitability, we understand fully that our perception of the past tense is skewed and political in nature, however our ability to reclaim the truth within milliseconds gives us immense power. Our ability to make that truth into fallacy is an incredible talent only matched by its ability to make others ponder, smile and cringe. It is our duty as perceivers of time and space to document, for forgetting is a grave crime.

Likes: high end european fashion editorial, medium format, high end digital, canon and leica glass, mamiya, rolleiflex and hasselblad, confusing mysterious ghostly images with undeniable sex appeal and incredible design.

Dislikes: HDR treatments, bad photoshopping, too much contrast or saturation being passed off as good editing, texture layers, "365 self portraits" (especially on leap year), "hey this is what is in my bag right now, well actually not, i wanted this to look glamourous, so i went and bought some things to put in there, and i borrowed some other things, and well it turns out not all of it actually fits in the bag, but here it is!", wedding photography, pregnancy photography, corny family portraits, mirror self portraits, perverted talentless photographers with bad cameras just looking to meet models and putting a black eye on the industry.
