I've been interested in photography since 1972, when I bought my first slr, a Miranda Sensorex, with all of the money I earned as a babysitter. Grew up on film and switched to Nikon in 1980 (Nikon FE) and have been with Nikon ever since, except for a short detour into medium format.

I am trying to get up to speed with digital. I had owned some dslrs (Nikon D70, D200) just to try to keep up, but always thought film was better. I mainly just used those cameras on Program mode. Then I bought a a full frame dslr (Nikon D700) and some fast glass, and am back to shooting on Manual mode. I bought a Nikon D4, and upgraded to the D5 because I wanted to get back into shooting weddings and landscapes (odd combo) and wanted good low light capability. I love that camera! Have been trying to master editing software, switching from Aperture to Lightroom and Photoshop CC. I still have a lot to catch up on, but my photostream documents my learning curve.

I recently bought a mirrorless camera (Olympus OMD-EM1) to take on bike trips as well as when I'm traveling with family and I want images better than those I can take with my iphone. I've found it handy when I try to do street photography.

Lately I've had flowers as my personal project. I've been taking workshops bu Kathleen Clemons and Donna Eaton in which I've learned a lot Been having fun with the Lensbaby Velvet 56 lens on my Olympus....

Hope you enjoy.
