I got my start in photography when it was a required aspect of my job. My responsibilities included documenting other people's disasters. Over time, my photographic skills improved, but I grew tired of photographing other people's mayhem. I began taking classes at my local community college, with a special interest in product photography and still life.

Photography is still part of my daily job routine, but I enjoy my days off even more, wandering around the San Francisco Bay Area with my camera in-hand. I take great joy in finding the vividly colorful scenes and using natural light to photograph them from unique perspectives.

I met Greg almost 2 years ago and as long as I have known him he has been doing photography. Greg was a big influence for me to become more involved in photography as well. He was the one to teach me about different DOF, lighting and WB. He has helped me try new ideas and ways to photograph. Now more than ever I enjoy taking photos every chance I get. Greg does a great job capturing differnet areas around the bay. The bay area has so many great palces to shoot with its various urban and rural areas and sometimes both together. Greg does a great job at capturing all of those sides which I really enjoy. Thanks again my friend for all the help and advice.

Hey Greg, I thought I'd write you a testimonial but disguise it in the form of a thank you letter to you. Actually first off, let me curse you for getting me interested in photography again in the digital age because it has gotten to be an expensive hobby :) But I am very grateful for your time and tutoring when it comes to photography. I've always found that you have an innate talent to take things that are often viewed as mundane or overlooked altogether, and you make it look interesting. You've taught me how to see the world through a new set of eyes and I will always appreciate that. I haven't known too many people that know how to work with light as well as you. It always blows my mind when I ask you what lighting rig you have set up for some of your studio shots only to find out that you achieved the shot with mostly household equipment. I'm really curious to see what you will end up doing once you have a full studio set up. So thank you again and thanks in advance for the future tips and knowledge I am going to be picking up from you.

Over the past few years that I've known Greg, his photography skills have increased nearly ten-fold and the photographs he captures speak more than just "a thousand words". He captures true feel and emotion in his images. His knowledge of exposure and light have enabled him to produce powerful images which rivet the viewer into staring beyond just a casual glance. The level of detail and focus in his images is bar none and he clearly goes out of his way to draw the viewers eye right to this detail. When you get to the point where you are mostly using the "Manual" exposure mode on your camera, you know you have a great understanding of exposure and light. Greg is well beyond that point. He has a great compositional eye for things that I just walk right past.; everything from the macro to the wide angle. He puts careful thought into every one of his images and he might claim that "practice makes perfect" but with some of the images I've seen him produce, I think its more like "Perfect practice makes perfect".

I love Greg's work. I have several of his photos in my home and get many compliments on them. I don't know much about photography, but I do know when I am drawn to a piece of art. I love Greg's work. I have several of his photos in my home and get many compliments on them. I don't know much about photography, but I do know when I am drawn to a piece of art. While Greg's work is technically beautiful and his composition is always interesting, what draws me to it is the spirit and feeling it evokes in me. Sometimes I find myself walking into a room just to stare at the images. I love the way they make me feel. I think it's special that almost all of his photos are from places known and unknown right here in the bay area! Please keep taking and posting your pics!
