Born in the Philippines and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Christian Cabuay specializes in artwork on multiple mediums containing elements of the ancient pre-Filipino writing system called Baybayin. Influences come from graffiti, Asian brush and indigenous Filipino art.

A self taught artist who challenges himself by not only trying out different tools, he strives to promote his culture in all his works. Christian released his 1st book, “An introduction to Baybayin” in 2009 and is currently filming a documentary on the ancient script along with traveling all over the Bay Area to LA teaching Baybayin and showing his artwork.
