My passion is nature and I'm compelled to capture its beauty and those fleeting moments in life! Not just so I can relive them, but to share what I see and hopefully what I feel with you.
I started photographing in my early twenties and a Photo Club member for 35 years. My profession of 30 years is graphic design and some commercial photography. I also give workshops in the Ottawa area since 2008. Combined with my arts background, I capture and create what I see and feel. Constantly learning new Photoshop techniques and ways to make my art better and excited about the million images yet to be captured and create.
My photos are copyright protected. So please contact me at janice@janicestreet.ca to use or purchase.

I very much appreciate all the comments and support I have received over the years and will reciprocate when I can.
Glad I can share my passion with you....
Here I am with my rugged Canadian look. That worn 20 year old coat is my favourite and I don't think I will ever throw it out.

Testimonials
Janice, your skills both as a photographer and a graphist artist are reflected in your beautiful work. You treat your subject matter as things of beauty and you master the art of seeing. This makes you a reference on Flickr. Sincere thanks for sharing and being such a good friend.

Photography like any acquired skill is both an art and a science. I often think that just the way I learned good table manners is the way I must learn how to plan a picture before I push a button, the rules of composition and good design, how to respect and understand the principles of lighting in different circumstances, and even how to present a final picture finished and ready for viewing. At Jan-ice’s site, if you pay very close attention to what is shared in all of her pictures, you can see all of these prerequisites already in place and already applied. “Watch and do what she does! Each of her photos teach us well” And when you leave her site, one is left with a special sense of elegance “to carry home” It is what all good photography is all about.
