Byron Valino is a young mixed-media visionary artist who uses photography, film and video to tell stories of culture and society. Byron's unconventional approach combines throwback filmmaking fundamentals with a hypermodern editing style. During his collegiate days, he's been awarded several accolades including "Best New Director" and his work was featured at the Cinequest Film Festival. Since then, Byron has explored such diverse realms as the underground world of turntable musicians and the gritty life of marginalized urban artists. His work has been featured in the Tate Modern Museum in London and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
In addition to his involvement in various projects, Byron is an established industry professional. While at Paramount Pictures, he edited featurettes for award-winning movies such as War of the Worlds and Hustle and Flow. Byron currently works at CBS Interactive as their Senior Motion Graphics Artist and Video Editor.
Byron was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He now makes his home in Los Angeles.
