Sharing photos with my contacts is what I wish to do and I've no interest in groups, awards, or racing to increase the number "Explore" hits as a measure of validation. It's only my opinion: Social Media politics is not Photography. Flickr is not what it was when I began back in 2007.

For those contacts I 'recreate' well with, I look forward to exchanging composition and post-processing comments, there's my validation!

In the bigger scheme of things, that is Flickr's only redeeming value as a venue.
