A keen photographer since the age of 13, I originally took colour slides, then did B&W darkroom work, then colour and B&W negatives which I scanned and digitally printed. From January 2011 I've used digital cameras, Sony and Panasonic. Now, all my work goes on Flickr and Ipernity.

Landscape, trees, wild flowers, water and waterfalls, old buildings, reflections and picturesque places - all good, traditional pictorial stuff, and I have photographed my share of functions, babies and Meccano models and exhibitions.

I also collect cameras from the 1960's, and now own all of the ones which, as a young teenager, I ardently desired (almost worshipped) but were then completely unaffordable and unattainable.

The World is getting harder to photograph, but thanks to the magic of the digital darkroom, we can (almost) make it what we like.

My late wife was a victim of cancer, and in 2019 I too became one. Should I not survive it (or have the courage to preempt the inevitable and save myself from unnecessary suffering) my portfolio (with which I'm fully satisfied as a life's work) will remain indefinitely on Flickr.
