I am a former elementary teacher turned stay at home mom and artist. I have sewn since I was a little girl and have been quilting for about 10 years. I'm very interested in the Art Quilting aspect of quilting using non-traditional and experimental methods. I lot of my ideas come from my dreams, my family and experiences from growing up in New Orleans and all of the interesting people I've met along the way!
There have been many miracles in my life...recovery, meeting my husband, going to the wrong doctor at age 27 only to discover that I had severe osteoporosis and had I gotten pregnant would have unknowingly broken both hips from the weight of the baby, giving birth to my sweet baby after 8+ years of infertility, having "easy" brain surgery that was NOT cancer!!! (Thank God!) I honestly thought that I wouldn't live past 21...I'm SO SO blessed to be here and be alive, I really should be dead many times over!!! Every day is a gift!!!! (maybe I'm really a cat?) Seriously, I thank God for the blessings and grace in my life. He leads me down the right path though I may know nothing about it at the time. (and of course, I usually am clueless!) :)
