It has been a while since my last posting. I am still doing photography and enjoying most aspects of it. The business aspects can sometimes be a pain. It seems everyone wants something for free even when you offer a good product for a reasonable price. Oh well, thus is life.

I've added a D200 to my aresenal and two SB600. I have not used the D200 too much yet, but I will be getting rid of the D60 and only using the D200 and D5000 for shoots only.

I never posted my age, but one the groups requires it. I am a 70s vintage. I have the gray hairs to prove it.

It's been a while since my profile was updated. I have grown in my shooting and editing, but will not become complacent. I must continue to learn and practice the art of photography.

I have purged some of the items in my photostream that I felt cheapened my work. Those items are archived to remind me where I was and where I don't want to go.

I'm still not where I would like to be with photography, but the key thing is I still enjoy shooting pics. I noticed that since I purchased my first DSLR last year that people tend to toss their inhibitions to the wind when in front of the camera. That has taken some of my pictures to being rated R containing nudity. In order to stay on the good side of Flickr and to respect those that may find such material offensive, I made those items "Friends only." If I have you as a contact only it is because I don't want to risk offending you.

Been purchasing some starter lighting equipment from eBay. Decided to list my current equipment. I want to start upgrading my glass next.

Sometimes I like to do "drive by shootings." No, I don't mean the thing those idiots do on the streets with guns. I mean ride around and find interesting subjects to shoot (with the camera) from the car. Many of my shots are taken from the driver seat of my vehicle.

July 2009:

I enjoy taking photos of various subjects. I essentially shoot whatever catches my eye. My camera of choice is a Nikon D60 and sometimes an Olympus point and shoot.

I'm still learning the art & science of photography, so I appreciate any comments, tips or suggestions.

Contacts and friends see the same photos . It's all about sharing and learning.
