Formerly held positions as manager, supervisor, or associate in both professional and commercial photo labs in Chicago. Most of my experience was working with analog (conventional) black and white prints.

Have BS degree from RIT, Rochester, NY. Main interest was photo lab management . i.e., a maker, not a taker.

Developed an interest in photography as photographer in the US Navy.

Retired from business in 1998. Was curious about digital photography, and purchased first digital camera 1999. I have been "hooked" on digital photography ever since. Still prefer black and white, however.

I freely admit nearly all my images receive post processing. Either Photoshop, and or, Nik Software processes are applied to bring my images to my personal vision of how the images look to me.

Therefore, none of my images may be considered the final rendition. All my images are in flux as I return to them and make tweaks or totally new revisions. During initial editing, I generally save nearly everything. Years later I may find something I had missed the first time, or another way of looking at the image.
