I have been a button fanatic since my childhood, spending hours with my Mum, or my Grans button boxes. This is when I first started making jewellery with buttons, and then usually being told to take it all apart and put the buttons back! So I had to start my own collection and actually get to keep and use some of my creations. I studied Sculpture at Edinburgh College of Art where I used buttons to create installations. When I left Edinburgh to return to the Highlands I began making more and more jewellery and other items with buttons. I now make my jewellery full time and feel privileged to be able to do something I enjoy for a living whilst being able to live in an absolutley beautiful part of our world.
