Everything I could say today about me, quoting Pirandello, “may prove an illusion tomorrow”. So I will say that I do photographs because I am interested in the cities where I live, in the places I visit, in the cultural aspects of the society I make part. I love taking portraits of people because I am fascinated with their behavior, traditions, reactions, emotions. I take my pictures when I “find them”, when I find myself surprised, it’s the moment when I see how light can make common things beautiful, when I discover that somehow absurdity of human behavior and of everyday-life situations makes sense. Taking photographs gives my life a meaning, because in those situations, reactions, and ordinary beauty I often recognize myself. I observe, follow my instinct and press the shutter.
