I started taking photos very young, in 4th grade. But I left it for a time and returned to it in my mid 20's. I used a Minolta SLR for years, but have moved to digital lately. I have half decent Sony, but I would like to get something better.
My subjects early on were landscapes, it seemed like an easy place to start. I never started taking portraits/people seriously until I was back in university at 35. I was the photo editor for our school newspaper. I then took some Fine Arts Photography courses at school and really enjoyed them because they forced me out of the box I had built. I got into digital manipulation etc at that point. However I still very much enjoy the dark room. I can loose a whole day there in what seems to be 10 minutes. Now my interests are all over the place, however over the last few years I have been working so much I have not had time to really spend on photography, so most of my shots are of work. Since I travel all over the place for that the shots have been from various parts of the world.
