I take pictures for many reasons, mostly out of a passion to capture the beauty around us in a way that’s unique to my eyes. I’m driven to capture these moments on different mediums such as medium format and 35mm film as well as Polaroid and digital formats because each one pulls a different feeling from the scene. I’m involved in many personal projects that capture what I think is important in our lives, that could be abandoned buildings in our community or forgotten gravestones in a field. It might be a smile or the look of sorrow on a unique face or even a statue. Whatever it is I capture I do it with passion and a longing I believe that was placed in me by our creator, and I as simply as I can put it, I have to shoot.
