Photographing dogs in all their wonderful variety and character is my passion! All kinds, shapes, and sizes of canines fascinate me. I love nature photography, too, especially macro - flowers, insects, frogs, birds, everything.
Photography started as a hobby for me, and Flickr just a place to store my snaps. But then I got a dSLR and started experimenting. The learning curve is endless, but the more I tried the more engrossing it was.
And then it surprised me by becoming a way to enter into the subjects more fully, and to see things that I don't seem to notice any other way. I owe most of this to the incredible community of friends on Flickr who have inspired me to keep trying to do more, and who have generously offered advice and help. It's been almost four years since I joined, and it's really changed my life. Thank you!
A couple of small pet peeves - I love getting comments, but please, no huge, animated, flashing or glittery graphics! Also, if you're just "commenting" on one of my photos with a group's graphic, but no actual comment, I'll remove it. That doesn't count, guys! If you don't have anything to say about my photo, please don't waste your time posting a graphic just because the group requires a comment.
I don't mean to be a curmudgeon... ;-)

I should mention that I know Lynda mainly through marriage for the past, how many years now, honey? Her enthusiasm for Flickr, both for learning more about photography and connecting with kindred spirits, was infectious and led, finally, to my own camera and Flickr account when I began to borrow hers a bit too often. She is bright, humorous, tenacious, honest, principled, thoughtful, kind and loving, especially if you are a dog (more than one friend has remarked that if there is such a thing as reincarnation they would like to come back next time as Lynda's dog). Her photo stream presently includes over 2000 photos of dogs and cats (our dog, Django is tops at 889), but also over 1000 of friends, over 700 of family, 700 of nature - Lynda loves her connections and I'm sure glad I'm one of them.
Read lessLynda's photos show her love for her family, pets, nature and life in general. I look forward to sharing in the happenings of her life that she shares with her flickr friends. Thank you, Lynda.
Lynda is good news for all animals she encounters, homeless or otherwise. It’s very cool to see her skill with a camera growing and growing and growing, and fun to watch her new animal portraits show up on flickr. Her skill with a camera and her love for animals are converging in a brilliant way!
Lynda aims her camera at what matters in this world: family, friends, pets, and the natural world. Her pictures often capture the connections between any of these. I am fortunate that she's aimed her camera at some of the good moments in my life, making me see and appreciate what I have. What a great friend!
