born in japan, has spent the second half of my life in southern california, married to a lovely german husband and a mom of a little girl.

having a design and design research background, my life seems to evolve around creating little objects, appreciating great design and curating life in a meaningful way.

i like things I create to be proportional to myself as a person.

currently i am pouring my love to develop baum-kuchen (www.baum-kuchen.net),which infuses my passion for everyday life and artifacts around it. I love capturing collages of simple moments inspired by the world around us and telling stories through photography and writings… so you will see a lot of my photo journals here. I also have a place called story-of (www.story-of.com) where i capture the essence of these memorable moments.

i love the phrase, “everything happens for a reason”… and i hope to live by it everyday.
