Through her love of lines, strong moments, shadows, funky details and bold colors, Dutch photographer Ewien van Bergeijk-Kwant seeks to capture Hope and Beauty in everyday life through her lens. Her curious nature brings her the most unexpected adventures while wandering the African streets, trying to discover what African life really holds. Once she thinks she has seen it all, something totally unexpected unfolds itself in front of her eyes.

Though much of her work is vivid and bright, she doesn’t shy away from capturing the harder side of the beautiful continent she came to love. Having lived abroad for 15+ years, she has learned to take herself less seriously.
