I am by no means an expert in identification of insects or plants. If I have mis-identified something, please let me know.

After much internal debate, I have decided that I will no longer accept "awards" and "award images" in comments to my photos; I will delete any such award comments/images.

While I certainly appreciate all constructive comments and kudos, such comments should be of the personal, typed-out variety - not a rubber stamp or "sticker." I may or may not go back and remove previously posted award/image comments. However, any new ones will be removed.

Brant and i have shared late night talks about old girlfriends, shared anguish over the fools at work, hiked together and really analyzed our dreams and life mistakes with each other - it's what friends do. His photos are good, and his friendship i hold even dearer. He's one of the smartest people i've ever known and someone whom trust and honesty come miles before telling you what you want to hear. I've had the pleasure of seeing him come out the other side of struggle with integrity, understanding and humor. Not long after getting to know Brant, he showed me a photo that was on his bookshelf at work - an excellent sports shot that he was rightly proud of. He told its story and launched into the ways the photo could be better, and i knew instantly that i had a friend who understood the same struggles and had a very similar vision of what goes into the creative process. I feel lucky to be a part of his world and am as excited as he is about seeing his photography deepen (and hopefully mine as his does!).
