My interest in photography started during my college years. The interest continued more strongly as my kids participated in soccer, dance, and the HS marching band. I really love the challenge of shooting during dance recitals (actually the dress rehearsals) and marching band performances because while the lighting isn't always great, the subject never stops, and it's like Christmas morning when an unexpected great shot emerges. Until late 2018 I used "auto" settings (especially aperture priority) and kit lenses, but now I'm on "M" and investing in prime lenses!
