Hello! My name is Bruno Moniz. I’m a portuguese aspiring photographer living in the beautiful Islands of Azores.

I bought my first camera back in 2005 and I’m still learning; yet I quickly and completely fell in love with the art of taking pictures; I started reading books, experimenting with stuff and, most of all, learning from my mistakes. I take pictures that reflect my love for this art. I don’t see photography as some technical quest; it is a craftsmanship that I chase. More than a hobby, it is a passion that I have and a way to express myself. I’m still looking for my personal point of view about this art and I’m aware that this is a life’s long journey. To have a vision you need to fuel it with passion and hard work — This passion shouldn’t be about finding the next big lens or camera body or even discussing which one is better, Canon or Nikon, it should be simply about taking photographs; so go, do it today and do it tomorrow, do it everyday! You’ll be filling your heart with something you love and love leads to passion.
