my home at this moment is in bc canada not to far from the mountains on vancouver island

just to explain myself a little bit, photography has been my hobby for the past 50 years. my first camera was a canon ae-1, bought it in the 70s, and now my main gear today is the nikon d850 with 70-200F4, d7100 for my 10-24 nikon and also the24-120 f4 nikon from when i bought the 7100 as a kit lens. good lens for out and about. the only thing i do not like about the d850 is it's weight but it's the only thing.

the new mirrorless are lighter and the nikon z8 looks excellent to me but 3-4 grand a bit expensive.

One of my favorite things is post processing with high megapixels raw files.

shotting raw to me is getting what you want in the frame, the best exposure i can get most of the time at aperture priority mostly, at the angle i want and then best of all after that post processing in LR and PS.

there are some excellent photography on flicker to learn from. in flickr you can zoom in on a lot of the photos and if you want to replace one of your own you can do that if you think you can improve it.

albums are much better for viewing photos.
