I'm very much an amatuer at photography. I enjoy learning new techniques and experimenting with the camera. I shoot with two different cameras - both are Sonys. My "little" camera tends to be close by at all times, but I'm getting more comfortable with the DSLR.

I use Flickr for three reasons. First of all, I like learning from others. Being able to get involved in discussions or seeing other people's images inspires me to try new things.

Secondly, I wanted a way to store files. Flickr is the reason I didn't completely freak out after the great computer crash of '06. I do back up to disc as well, but I've also heard stories of people's homes being destroyed and pictures on discs went with that. I recommend Flickr as a storage and sharing site to anyone - especially if you have treasured family photos.

Finally, I enjoy getting comments on pictures and seeing what moves others. If you have a suggestion, please let me know. I love this hobby and don't mind getting better.
