The Brooklyn Hi Art Machine is a community-based art-making experiment that provides art materials and a space for all the members of our neighborhood to sit and make art in the street on our block in Brooklyn.

Our goals are to create a greater connection between the neighbors in our community and make art friendly and accessible to all. We believe that by becoming active, collective participants in art making, members of the community may find new ways to relate to each other and to the art institutions in the neighborhood.

We believe that bringing the practice art-making to our community allows us to act as a bridge between our neighbors and the various cultural institutions that exist in our community but have fallen short when it comes to engaging local residents.

The Brooklyn Hi Art Machine is open to all and all supplies are provided for free.
