Originally from UK, now living in Ireland and cursing the Irish weather for forcing me to use flash in "summer"!

I studied photo arts back in the 90's, when film was where it's at. About a year after graduating, digital was being born and we naively didn't think it would catch on - how wrong we were....

If we are to be honest though, digital made us lazy. I remember the docu photographers learning that from 6 reels of 36, you'd be lucky to come out with 2 good pics, nowadays, you shoot until the 50 gazilliongigabyte card gets filled up and stick another one in... Though I rarely hear a film shooter whine about battery life!

Of late, I've had a crisis in my snapping:

Flickr is both a devil and an angel. It's a stunning forum to post your take on the world but then you are exposed to a truly staggering plethora of AMATEUR talent and you bow your head in the shadow of others.

I guess it's swings and roundabouts though and I'm still very much in love with capturing light!
