I picked up my first digital camera, a Point and Shoot Canon Powershot S20 (3.1 megapixel) back in 2001 - took loads of snaps with it but it wasn't until 2005 when I picked up my first SLR body and defected to Nikon in doing so (Nikon D70)! Got lots of mileage out of it before upgrading to a D200 body in July 07 and then a D700 in July 09 - I've been a happy camper with it ever since!

I like to try a little bit of everything when it comes to taking photographs but I would tend to spend most time shooting landscapes and have just started with some macro photography recently. I work as a dentist in Dublin so for me, photography is a great hobby to help escape the stresses of work!
