Lived in South Devon since 1988 with wife Ann. Have written numerous articles about Dartmoor on a variety of topics. Currently have two new books out on the 'Toll-houses of South and North Devon' respectively. A member of the Milestone Society since 2003 I am the County Representative. Another book on Toll-houses emerged in 2014 this time for Staffordshire with the same co-author. Teamed up with Mark Fenlon and Ernie Stanton 2012 to kick start the Plotting Plymouth Past Project with Plymouth City Council.

2017 teamed up with Max Piper and Paul Buck to record lost and lesser known tors on Dartmoor with an emphasis on the Eastern side. Enjoy writing, walking, travel and the occasional game of golf.
