Through photography, I have learned - and continue to learn - to see the world through new eyes. I moved to Fortuna, California, from Toledo, Washington (not DC, but the other Washington) in May, 2020. Over the years, I also have lived near Portland, Oregon, and San Diego, California. Now, I have a whole new place to explore and see with new eyes. I love heading out on scenic road trips, but if it isn't reachable by road and a short walk, I won't see it. I love being retired and feel privileged that I have so much to enjoy.

I co-host Compositionally Challenged. We have weekly and monthly challenges that aim to inspire creativity and improve our technical skills. CC is a small group where active members get to know and encourage each other. If that sounds appealing, won't you consider joining us?

It has been said that the only constant in life is Change. For me, that has meant a gradual change into becoming my mother's caregiver. Exercise for me used to be a sometime thing, but now it is an everyday priority. It really is worth the effort and I plan to continue working to be as strong as I can be, because I am an independent old cuss and want to stay that way.

Because sometimes life gets in the way of doing what we want, there are days I don't make it over the Flickr to view and comment on my Flickr Friends' photos, but I do my best. Pardon me for limiting how many I follow.
