I can remember as a little kid being fascinated by rays of light streaming through morning fog or filtering through a window in a room. I remember chasing the light beams (which looked very tangible to my three or four year old eyes) and trying to catch those rays. I am now doing that with my camera.
I have been photographing people since high school. I would get friends to do sessions with me when all I had was my 110 film camera. I finally moved on to 35mm film, but only had a $35 dollar compact camera that was a Christmas present from my parents.
Now my gear is a little more sophisticated, but every image I snapped with those little cheap cameras helped to build the solid technical and creative foundation that supports my photography today.
My wife, Jennifer and I live in Charleston, WV with our daughters, Jenna and Lauren.
