This is my Flickr page for a one-year photography project I've decided to tackle. In brief, I'm spending my 41st year on this planet - from my 41st to my 42nd birthdays - shooting film cameras.

Hardly unusual so far ... but I decided to make it a little more challenging/interesting, so I'm shooting a different camera every week; there'll be bog-standard 35mm point-and-shoots, oddball 110 cameras, a couple of medium-format models (think Holga rather than Hasselblad!), giveaway APS cameras and even free gifts (thanks for the Retina, Dad!).

The idea is to rejoice in the unpredictability of the project, as my low budget and unfamiliarity with every camera I use will ensure that I can't bank on being able to 'lean' on any previous experience, or any inherent quality of each camera to bale me out! I simply won't have time - or the desire - to run test films through any of the cameras; they're all new to me specifically for this venture. Plus I'm sure that I'll see more than my fair share dodgy light seals, missing or misbehaving parts and fungus on the lenses.

I've vowed that, other than the *really* poor stuff, I'll upload everything that comes out of each camera. All of which means that no-one reading this should be surprised to see some of the lowest quality photos Flickr has ever hosted.

By the way, I plan on using each camera only once - for a week, give or take - and then keeping a few of them, and selling others via eBay. I'll sell a few at a time, via my identically-named eBay profile, brianblessedisagod.
