Photographically, most of my work recently has been targeted towards international (PSA, FIAP etc.) competitions, with which I've had some success.
Photography isn't my only hobby/interest, and I don't spend a lot of time in the studio - messing around with film cameras and 'classic' lenses take up more of my time than studio work.
These days I’m probably more interested in black & white than colour, although I am trying to change that. Most of my recent work has been shooting models in a studio (where I tend to work slowly, but not always not methodically), but I'm hoping to shoot some natural-light stuff shortly.
I do little post-processing on my work, and what I do is done extremely slowly - after 40+ years in the IT industry I'm just not interested in using software (although I'm happy writing my own).
I gained my LRPS in 2015, in 2018 I gained 'Qualified' status with the Guild of Photographers, followed by BPE1* in 2019.
2021 Got off to a good start - got an FPI, some 'stars' from the Photographic Society of America (PSA), and in early February I was awarded the 'QPSA' distinction by the PSA with BPE2* following in March. All I need to do now is to take some more photographs!
I'm a member of the PSA (Photographic Society of America), and recommend that to anyone serious about their photography.
My serious work is shot with Nikon cameras (sometimes Sony), but I've got many weird wonderful film (and early digital) cameras to play with.
