Brian, also known taxonomically as Homo sapiens (Latin for "wise man" or "knowing man"), is only one of many species in the Homo genus of bipedal primates in Hominidae, the great ape family. Anatomically modern-appearing humans originated in Africa about 200,000 years ago, reaching full behavioral modernity around 50,000 years ago and most recently in Los Angeles in 1975, eventually migrating to the forests of the Pacific Northwest in the early 1980's amidst the cultural detritus of Ronald Reagan, Jon McEnroe, Prince, the Rubik's Cube, Chernobyl, Contra for Nintendo and the real Sandanista Orchestra, the Subway Vigilante, Simon and Simon, Achille Lauro, Star Wars, Car Wars and Geraldine Ferraro.
