Well, it's been a little over a year since I first uploaded my photos overcoming an ambivalent feeling about what people will think of them.
Thank you all for the numerous positive comments to my pin up style barbie photos! As one can imagine, being a male, it gives me great pleasure and almost a sense of accomplishment especially when female viewers post positive comments or mark my photos as their favorite(s), since I try to make them very sexy, at least in my own way. Thank you again!
I am a single male, straight...I think. My hobbies aside from barbies/taking photos of them, is tennis. I've been playing for about a year now and really love it. I play doubles at work outs and have been practicing on my serve for some time, which was very frustrating in the beginning. It still is, but now I am beginning to see somewhat of a light. At first, the ball was flying everywhere. I'm supposedly a level "B" player or somewhere between a 3 and 3.5. I hope to become a 4 before I get too old to play. My weekend begins by playing tennis for several hours in the morning. Then in the afternoon, when I feel it, I take photos of Barbies, hoping I'd get one that I can post online.
I did notice that female viewers, especially those who positively comment on my photos, more often are from Brazil or some other Latin American country. I guess women from those areas are more comfortable, if not openly enjoy being sexy, which is "fantastic". How liberating would it be to be able to be with someone who appreciates your photos? I couldn't imagine that a year ago.
Looking back at my past, I NEVER thought I would be collecting barbies and taking photos of them and posting them on the web. While there are various opinions about Barbies, I personally think she is one absolutely gorgeous creation and pay my biggest respect for the designers/creators at Mattel. As for the fashionista line, it has opened up so much more possibilities in terms of posing and how great they can look with a little touch up.
Flickr has allowed me to share my passion with many others and to this, I am very thankful. Cheers!
