My photography is a practice that I stumbled upon while my life has been playing out over the years. It all started when I would take “artsy” shots with a digital point and shoot camera several years ago. Someone I know finally told me that a picture of mine reminded him that I had “some of my mother” in me. My mother is a great watercolor artist, and I know that my eye for composition comes from her. I decided in June of 2009 to purchase a SLR camera and get serious about becoming a better photographer so that I can really show off the beautiful world which we live in.

Digital photography is a great combination of art and technology. Since I was a teenager, I was really into information technology (computers). I studied IT in college, and I work full-time in the information technology field. I love digital photography because I can apply technical knowledge to create images that are visually appealing to a broader audience. My natural ability to see compositions in nature, combined with my technical capacity and aptitude, lets me create some really great photographs that people seem to enjoy. I love just being lost with time when I am out shooting. My favorite thing to do is just to wander around looking for shots. I also enjoy the post-production side where I can take raw images and transform them on my computer to better reflect what I saw on site. Photography has really helped me to slow down, and take life less seriously and just enjoy it while I am on this planet.
