I love exploring the world around me - anything from my backyard to a distant horizon in another country. I started taking photos when I was a child and would wait impatiently for them to return from the developers. Now I drive my family crazy by seeing a beautiful photo opportunity in nearly every passing moment. My children are the reason I started to learn more about photography - I wanted to capture those fleeting moments of their childhood and realized I had a lot to learn about taking a photo that would really capture the essence of them. So when my eldest was born my husband gifted me my first DLSR and I slowly began to learn how to capture images that as least resemble the feeling and beauty of the world my eyes see but my photography skills don't always produce. I hope to continue learning and sharing a few of those photos along the way.
