I have met so many great people here on Flickr. Been on a few group trips with other photographers. I was one of the people that used to think....Big Deal....push a button and take a picture. It didn't take me long to figure out there was so much more to photography than just pushing a button. I wished I could share the joy of photography with everyone I come in contact with. To me it's an Awesome feeling when I finally get the settings right on a beautiful creation of nature. When that shot stuck in my head finally pops up on the camera screen I feel like I have won the lottery. The most Amazing thing about it is I have met so many people on Flickr that have helped me with any problems I may have and I have visited so many places so close to home that I never knew existed.
It is an out of body experience to just sit on the rocks at the Lake and watch the sun slowly set....just me, the sun, and a few passing birds.
I sit and attempt to capture the beauty but at the same time think about the Awesome power of nature.
I would have never made it to this point had it not been for my Flickr friends helping me.
I'm no pro but just as people have helped me to learn more about photography, what I do know I will share with anyone.
Thanks for stopping by!

BamaCanon is one of those photographer that motivates and excites you to take your outdoor photography more seriously. Look at his photostream, and you will see why I am conveying this thought. Well, BamaCanon does have one advantage over the rest of us. That advantage is the beautiful scenery of Northern Alabama. Northern Alabama is a mecca for dense forest, rolling hills, four seasons, and everflowing waterfalls. BamaCanon captures his local area with unique flavor, brilliant colors, and excellent views. BamaCanon has this wonderful gift of seeing. A gift that he enjoys sharing. A gift that makes you smile, laugh, and go "ahhhh". His pictures are not only powerful statements about Northern Alabama, but who he is as a photographer and a person. If your travels ever take you to Northern Alabama, look for beautiful rolling hills, dense forests, colorful waterfalls, and a photographer standing there with a camera in hand enjoying the moment and demonstrating the "art of seeing". Make know mistake that would be BamaCanon.
