Brandon Jones will compete for the first time in the NASCAR XFINITY Series under the Richard Childress Racing banner in the No. 33 Menards Chevrolet Camaro. In 2014, Jones competed full-time in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East driver as well as entries in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) and Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) Series presented by Menards.
Jones made five NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts in 2014 posting his career-best finish of fourth at Dover International Speedway. Jones also competed full-time in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE) finishing fourth in the championship point standings. Jones scored his first NKNPSE victory at Iowa Speedway and posted five top-five and 11 top-10 finishes in only 16 races. In addition, he made three ARCA Series starts in 2014 becoming the first driver in ARCA history to have back-to-back wins in his first two ARCA series starts at Winchester Speedway and Lucas Oil Speedway and narrowly missing a three-pete at Madison the following week.
Jones reached the NASCAR series ranks through a traditional progression to stock car success by winning at nearly every level. The Atlanta, Ga., native began his racing career in 2010 and completed his first full season in 2011 earning the Super Trucks points championships at Lanier Speedway and Gresham Motorsports that included six pole position awards, five wins, five second-place finishes and 16 top-five finishes in 17 starts. Jones advanced his career in 2012 by competing in the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) and the United Auto Racing Association (UARA) Late Models. Jones won his first UARA-STARS race at Concord (N.C.) Speedway. In addition, at 15-years-old, he made his NKNPSE debute at Greenville Pickens Speedway. In 2013, Jones competed in an intense and diverse schedule racing in various Late Models series and NKNPSE as well as making his NCWTS debut at Bristol Motor Speedway.
In 2015, Jones will also drive for GMS Racing in the NCWTS, Venturini Motorsports in the ARCA Series and NTS Motorsports in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.
Jones, 18, resides in Mooresville, NC and enjoys outdoor sports, working on trucks, antique car restoration, wood working, metal fabrication and farming.
