I have a good time being outdoors and taking pictures. I seem to prefer transportation, signage, and old things. Trying to challenge myself there. I tend to fave those things, too, plus Americana, old photos, low-brow stuff, illustration, and artistic black and white photography. Started drawing more in 2023.
I have a lot of contacts because I'm interested in a great many things and viewpoints.
I've shot with a Nikon F SLR and Leica M - but mostly before Flickr. Images on my stream are usually from my phone, but many are from an assortment of digital point-and-shoots I've since destroyed over the years. Saving up for a Fuji Finepix X Series.

The best camera is the one that's available.
I have more favorites than photos.
You want me on your Trivial Pursuit team.
Progressive evangelical. Downhome sophisticate.
Many things fascinate me; few things bore me. Of those few, it's HDR, groups that require comments and blingy GIFs/award icons (thank God that trend has nearly disappeared from Flickr).
Unabashedly biased toward North American railroading.
Slowly turning into a goofy bird-watcher.
If you have only a handful or no photos available, I will have to block you. Same goes if you get creepy.
I passed a million views sometime in early 2015. No biggie. Only took me 10 years to do it. Passed two million in March 2017. Over four million as of Spring 2020. Five million in 2023. Probably April.

Had this type verified by a longer assessment at 16personalities.com. I am definitely INFP-T. At least right now.

Artist Statement
My work explores the relationship between acquired synesthesia and romance tourism. With influences as diverse as Caravaggio and L Ron Hubbard, new tensions are generated from both simple and complex discourse.
Ever since I was a postgraduate I have been fascinated by the ephemeral nature of meaning. What starts out as vision soon becomes corrupted into a manifesto of distress, leaving only a sense of nihilism and the dawn of a new synthesis.
As spatial replicas become frozen through emergent and critical practice, the viewer is left with an insight into the darkness of our era.
