I met Rietje a few months back here on flickr. Since that first meeting we have become what I feel are beat of friends. Rietje always has a nice comment to say to those that meet her. She is very generous with her feelings and always has a nice comment on ones photos. I see Rietje's works as a celebration of life because she always sees the beauty in the things that are around her. She takes a simple view and turns it into a work of beauty through her camera lens. Rietje is one of the most caring persons that I have come to know. She is loved by all that comes in contact with her. I feel that she would do just about anything for her friends. Those of us that have come to know her, knows how special she is. Rietje is that one in a million kind of a person and friend and it comes through in her photography.

I haven't met Rietje but in the short time I've known her on Flickr, I've been amazed by her generosity of spirit, her friendliness and her all-round niceness and decency. She acknowledges people's comments on her photos , and she's built up a group of friends on the Flickr site who all love her. As well as that, she's a very good photographer with lovely clean lines and crisp images and she can do wonderful experiments with Photoshop. All round, she seems an absolute lady and a person I'm very happy to have 'met' on Flickr.
