I love photographing Raptors. The challenge of getting a really great shot of a BIF is what gives me my rush. I love when I'm able to witness a Hawk, Eagle, or Osprey hunt and catch their prey. Those are the rare moments that are fascinating to me.
I've only recently become serious about photography, so I still have a lot to learn. With time and practice, I hope to develope my skills, and become as good as some of the great photographers that post their work on flickr.
My most recent update is the purchase of my new lens. I just got a Canon EF 400mm F/5.6L. in March of 2013. Having used a Sigma 150-500 before now, I wasn't sure if I had made a mistake buying the Canon. All I can say is WOW, I'm so glad I purchased the Canon. I love my new prime lens. I have a new sense of confidence using it. I hope it will show in my future uploads.
I have a new update! I Recently purchased a Canon 500mm Prime f/4 IS lens. It is a beast to handhold for any length of time, but I do. I love the versatility of handheld v/s a tripod. Don't get me wrong, under the right circumstances, a tripod rules. I will always have, and love, my 400mm. What a wonderful lens for birding!
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to view my work!
