I bought my first digital in the summer of 2003. Being unable to throw things away, I still have a 'museum' of my old MInolta X-700 SLR with its associated bag full of lenses and a Pentax Espio 110 and I still occasionally use my first digital - a Pentax Optio 550 which takes fantastic photographs in variuous situations but is SO slow by modern standards and has a postage-stamp sized screen.
So I have moved successively from there through a Canon S1 IS to the S3 IS and so to my current Canon S5 IS and also my most recent aguisition - a Canon S90 pocket camera.
But I still use my pocket-sized Sony DSC-T9 extensively (it is so handy!) and even my cameraphone - now a Sony Ericsson U10i, also known as an AINO which can take reasonable photos but I find hard to hold steady. (Equipment update 13 Oct 2010)
I have travelled widely during my professional career as a Dairy Engineer and Management Consultant. Am married to Astrid.
VIDEOS: I strongly believe that videos have no place on Flickr. If you want to upload videos that's OK by me - but please do it on MySpace or YouTube or wherever - not Flickr. I believe that Flickr is a collection of photographs, not a social page for videos.
