FOCUS IS ON NON COCA-COLA COMMEMORATIVE BOTTLES

I've collected commemorative soft drink bottles since 1974, and collect all brands. I've got a lot of Coca-Cola commemoratives but focus on the non Coca-Cola issues. There's several places on line that focus on Coca-Cola bottles but none I've found that are for the non Coca-Cola issues. Every bottle pictured isn't in my collection, if I can get a picture of a bottle I like to post it to make this listing complete as possible.

I mainly collect US and Canadian commemoratives but also interested in other foreign countries bottles if the postage isn't too prohibitive.

Generally, not including plastic or aluminum bottles. There are a few exceptions - soft drink convention bottles, for example. Some convention bottles in the past were made from durable plastic, unlike those found in stores.

Also, there are a few bottles listed from various soft drink conventions and soft drink companies that aren't "commemorative", rather advertising bottles. These can have fun and interesting labels, for example in the 1970s Seven-Up had several labels on their Styrofoam wrapped bottles that highlighted their "Uncola" theme at the time and also Holiday offers for door hangers, ornaments, plush dolls, etc.

I have most pictures up of the bottles, its going to be a work in progress for a while but hope to have everything on line and descriptions added later. I'll take a shelf full of pictures, format and post them on here and add descriptions later. Will post both sides of a bottle, a few are the same on both sides but for consistency will still take front and back pictures. It's a time consuming process.

Sometimes I might take only a few of a particular brand and get those up then add to them later. Plus, they might not be in chronological order right now, but eventually I'll have them in the year order they were released.

I've got an older listing of quite a few bottles that list production quantities, I'll try get that information on line too. And on the subject of production quantities, many commemorative bottles were made in great numbers and many bottles from the 1970s are still in good supply. They show up in shops, flea markets and yard sales all the time and honestly will never be worth more than a few dollars, if that. We all need to be realistic. Well over 100,000 of some bottles were made and the market will never even begin to absorb this. And, there's always debate on full versus empty. It's just a matter of personal preference. I prefer mine to be full, but most empty bottles display just as well on the shelf. And with the numbers of unused caps on the market its difficult to trust whether a bottle has it's original cap after all these years.

Would like to make this list as complete as possible, if you have something not pictured here, please contact me and I'll get it on line. If sending pictures, please send both the front and back of the bottle.

Eventually, I plan to post a few examples of the harder Coca-Cola commemorative bottles. I don't collect the 8 oz. issues that have been flooding the market the past several years but do like the older hard to get commemorative Coca-Cola issues.

PLEASE NOTE: No bottles pictured in these photo-streams and albums are for sale or trade and I will not entertain any offers. This is only intended to be as complete a listing as possible of non Coca-Cola commemorative soft drink bottles. And eventually when I get around to posting values, any value listed for bottles will not be an offer from me to buy or sell. Rather, an estimate of what a bottle is worth. Bottles can be worth more in different parts of the country. And, a bottle once thought to be extremely tough to find may have recently turned up in quantity. Please keep this in mind when trying to determine a value for a particular bottle.

I chose to not list shipping or other acquisition costs when valuing a bottle. We all obtain things for our collections in various ways, I go to a lot of antique malls, flea markets, etc. and also buy online. And, once in a while may get lucky and buy several cases of bottles for next to nothing. It would be nearly impossible to include additional costs such as these. A five dollar bottle will still be a five dollar bottle regardless of how it was obtained.
