Brought up in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne (although back in the 60's Gosforth was still in Northumberland !)

Left school and joined the R.A.F and afterwards settled in the south for many years and worked at Hawker Siddely and later British Aerospace Hatfield and then Marshall Aerospace in Cambridge.

Moved back up to Northumberland in 2001. I am now a full time guide at Bamburgh Castle and in my spare time I'm a Northumberland National Park Voluntary Ranger.

My other interests are our two Border Terriers, Jacob and Reiver, walking the Cheviot Hills, Aircraft, taking the odd photo and of course, our two grandchildren, Jessica and William.
