I would have explicitly marked all my images here as public domain, right from the very beginning, if flickr had had a mechanism for that. If you want to use any of these images on the wikipedia or its sibling projects please include

ticket.wikimedia.org/otrs/index.pl?Action=AgentTicketZoom...

which will verify there that I agreed the image was released into the public domain.

I have uploaded some images I created here. But the main thing that brings me to flickr is looking for images of educational value that it would be useful to upload to the wikimediia commons.

I only upload images where the original flick uploader released the image under a liscense that is considered "free". Specifically, that is a "cc0", "CC-by" or "CC-by-SA" liscense. When properly uploaded to the wikimedia commons the original flickr uploader is always credited, as the liscense requires. And their original liscense is duplicated, so that the viewers of the image at the wikimedia commons will know the requirements the owner of the intellectual property rights requires, in order for them to re-use the image.

Once uploaded to the commons the images can be re-used, on the wikipedia, to illustrate articles about the subject of the image.

If I uploaded one of your images let me thank you. Thanks!

What a joy finding pictures of an Algoma Central Marine freighter that I served on as a shipkeeper, in the location and timeframe from when I was on the boat! Thank you for your interest in the harbour activity in the Portlands.
