She reaches through her lens and embraces the world around her, and by that embrace she imparts a measure of beauty to everything she sees. Parts of her world are bitter and harsh, but she refuses to flinch from them or try to make them pretty; instead she includes them in her compassionate embrace and makes it possible to face them. Bonnym is a woman of singular gifts, but the one for which we are most grateful is her ability to share her world with us.
