“Daniel Medeiros is the owner of the famous signature "Boleta”. He was born and raised in São Paulo (Brazil), place where he began his career in urban art in 1990 by practicing the art of protest, “pixação”. In 1994, using the walls of São Paulo as support, he starts to developed his work as a graffiti writer. Boleta, a self-taught artist, became known and respected for having a unique style in his paintings that are full of feeling and color. Whether painting a large panel or a small object, Boleta can pass the same drama in his paintings and drawings. Among his main references are the world of tattoo, the psychedelic of years '60s and '70s, religion and elements of nature, influences that blend with the style language described by his “little birds”, a character who appears in his work with great frequency, discussing topics such as human behavior and experiences lived by the artist in a personal point of view”.
